Mi Reembolso LLC ("Mi Reembolso," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your choices. It applies to our website, our messaging channels (email, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, SMS/text, WhatsApp, web forms), and our tax-preparation and related services.

1. Information we collect

• Contact and identity information you give us: name, email address, phone number, and details you include in messages.
• Communications you send through our channels: email, Facebook/Instagram Messenger, SMS/text, WhatsApp, our website forms and live chat, and phone calls (which may be recorded - see Section 6).
• Information from Meta platforms (when you message our Facebook Page or Instagram): your message content and your public profile name and profile picture, received via Meta's Messenger and Instagram APIs, used solely so our support agents can identify and respond to you.
• Tax and financial documents you choose to share for our services. Sensitive documents (e.g., SSNs, W-2s, 1099s) are handled only through our secure document portal, never through email, SMS, Messenger, Instagram, or WhatsApp.
• Website/usage data: basic technical information such as device and browser type, collected to operate and secure our site.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to: respond to your inquiries and provide customer support; prepare and deliver tax and related services you request; schedule appointments; send service-related messages and reminders you've consented to; and meet legal, regulatory, and security obligations.

3. SMS / text messaging (consent and your choices)

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you service-related and appointment text messages.

• Consent: By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive SMS messages from Mi Reembolso. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
• Frequency: Message frequency varies.
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
• Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at privacy@mireembolso.com / +1 (612) 440-3988.
• No third-party sharing of mobile data: No mobile information (including your phone number and SMS opt-in/consent) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors that support our services (e.g., our messaging platform provider) is limited to delivering the service; text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for their own use.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers/processors that operate our tools under contract and only as needed to provide our services - for example our customer-support platform, our Microsoft 365 email environment, our SMS/voice provider, and Meta (for Messenger/Instagram messaging). These providers are bound to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here and to meet legal, tax, and regulatory recordkeeping requirements, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified. Message transcripts and call recordings are kept for limited, defined periods.

6. Data security

As a tax-services provider, we maintain a written information security program consistent with the FTC Safeguards Rule (GLBA) and IRS Publication 4557. Safeguards include access controls and multi-factor authentication, encryption in transit and at rest where applicable, least-privilege access, and a secure, access-controlled document portal for sensitive files. Call recording, if used, is subject to notice and limited retention.

7. Your rights and how to delete your data

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw messaging consent at any time (see Section 3). To request deletion of your data, follow the instructions at mireembolso.com/data-deletion or contact privacy@mireembolso.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; we will post the new effective date here and, where appropriate, notify you.
